Databricks is a leading data analytics platform company that helps organizations turn data into insights. We are seeking a Manager, Sales Development for the UK & Ireland region to lead and scale our Sales Development team in delivering high-quality pipeline for the Databricks platform.
Role Overview
The Manager, Sales Development will own the strategy and execution of outbound and inbound programs to generate qualified opportunities. You will partner with Marketing and the Account Executives to drive regional growth across the UK and Ireland and build a world-class SDR organization.
Responsibilities
- Lead, coach, and scale the Sales Development team in the UK & Ireland to meet and exceed pipeline targets.
- Design and implement territory plans and multi-channel programs (outbound, inbound, events) to create high-quality opportunities.
- Collaborate with Marketing to optimize campaigns, messaging, and cadences; ensure effective lead handoffs to Account Executives.
- Set clear goals, monitor KPIs (pipeline, conversion rates, SLA with sales), and drive continuous improvement.
- Recruit, onboard, and develop SDRs; manage performance, coaching, and career development.
- Partner with regional Account Executives to align strategy with revenue targets and shorten the sales cycle.
- Represent Databricks in regional events, partnerships, and customer engagements as needed.
Requirements
- 5+ years of sales development leadership or senior SDR/BDM experience in SaaS, with a proven track record of hitting or surpassing pipeline targets.
- Experience selling to enterprise/mMid-market customers in the UK & Ireland; familiarity with data analytics or cloud platforms is a plus.
- Strong leadership, collaboration, and coaching skills; excellent communications and relationship-building abilities.
- Proficiency with CRM and sales tools (Salesforce, HubSpot, Outreach, LinkedIn Sales Navigator).
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
