Manager, Resident Solutions Architects - Databricks

Databricks is seeking a Manager, Resident Solutions Architects to lead a team delivering customer-facing data and analytics solutions in the APAC region, based in Singapore. This role combines strategic leadership with hands-on architectural guidance to accelerate customer success on the Databricks Lakehouse Platform.

Responsibilities

• Lead and grow a team of Resident Solutions Architects across APAC to deliver architecture guidance, hands-on implementation, and enablement.
• Collaborate with customers to design scalable data and AI architectures on the Databricks Lakehouse Platform.
• Conduct architecture reviews, design reference architectures, and guide deployment of Databricks workloads (ETL/ELT, data science, ML pipelines).
• Work with Account Executives and Customer Success to ensure successful deployments and high customer satisfaction; contribute to proofs-of-concept and pilots.
• Provide technical leadership at executive-level meetings and drive customer outcomes and adoption.
• Mentor, coach, and develop RSA team; contribute to hiring and ramp plans.
• Partner with Product and Field teams to share customer feedback and influence roadmap.
• Travel as required to engage with customers (roughly 20-40%).

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum 7-10 years of technical leadership in data, analytics, or cloud data platforms; experience in solutions architecture and customer-facing roles.
• Strong expertise with Databricks or Apache Spark; deep knowledge of data engineering, data pipelines, and analytics workloads.
• Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud) and modern data tooling.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills; ability to influence at executive levels; strong collaboration across cross-functional teams.
• Experience in APAC region and willingness to travel.
