Databricks is seeking a Manager, Field Engineering - HLS to lead a high-performing team that drives customer success through Field Engineering engagement for the Databricks Lakehouse Platform.

What you'll do

• Lead and mentor a team of Field Engineers; set strategy, priorities, and delivery excellence.
• Partner with Sales, Solutions Architecture, and Customer Success to design and deploy Databricks Lakehouse solutions at customer sites.
• Provide technical leadership during customer engagements; guide complex deployments, performance tuning, and data governance.
• Contribute to program development for scalable field delivery and knowledge sharing.

What we look for

• 7+ years of experience in data engineering, cloud architectures, or related field, with 2+ years in leadership.
• Deep knowledge of Apache Spark, Databricks Lakehouse Platform, SQL, Python, and cloud providers (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and customer-facing skills.

Location

United States (onsite; remote/hybrid options may be considered for qualified candidates).

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field; advanced degree preferred.
