Databricks is seeking a Manager, Field Engineering to lead a team of field engineers focused on deploying and optimizing Databricks solutions for enterprise customers. This on-site role is based in Bengaluru, India and collaborates with Sales, Solutions Architecture, and Customer Success to drive successful customer outcomes and scalable field practices.

Role Overview

• Lead and grow a team of field engineers responsible for deploying Databricks solutions and providing advanced technical guidance to customers.
• Partner with Sales, Solutions Architecture, and Customer Success to ensure successful customer outcomes and scalable deployment practices.
• Coach and mentor engineers, shape customer engagements, and develop scalable deployment patterns.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day activities of the Field Engineering team in the India region.
• Provide technical leadership during deployments, including design reviews and implementation guidance.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful customer deployments and adoption of the Databricks platform.
• Recruit, develop, and retain top engineering talent; drive knowledge-sharing and best practices.
• Travel as needed to support customer engagements and field activities.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of field or solutions engineering experience with leadership experience.
• Strong knowledge of Apache Spark and the Databricks platform.
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills; ability to influence and collaborate with customers and internal teams.
• Willingness to travel as required.
