Role

Designated Support Engineer who will provide proactive and reactive technical support to Databricks customers, help diagnose complex data engineering and platform issues, and collaborate with product and engineering teams to improve the customer experience.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver expert technical support to customers via ticketing and live chat/phone channels
  • Triage and investigate issues, perform root cause analysis, and drive timely resolutions
  • Collaborate with Product and Engineering to reproduce issues and contribute to knowledge base
  • Participate in incident response and post-mortem activities
  • Mentor less experienced teammates and share best practices

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of professional experience in customer support, field engineering, or related roles
  • Strong SQL and programming skills (Python or similar)
  • Hands-on experience with Apache Spark/Databricks and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP)
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities
  • B.S./B.A. in Computer Science or related field or equivalent experience

Location

Dallas, TX and San Francisco, CA – on-site
