Delivery Solutions Architect - Digital Native Business

Overview

Databricks is seeking a Delivery Solutions Architect for the Digital Native Business to partner with customers to design and deliver data and analytics solutions on the Databricks Lakehouse Platform. This customer-facing role drives end-to-end delivery from discovery through implementation and adoption, focusing on digital-native enterprises.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end delivery engagements for digital-native customers, translating business goals into scalable data architectures on Databricks Lakehouse.
• Design and implement data pipelines, data models, and analytics solutions using Apache Spark, Delta Lake, Delta Live Tables, and the wider Databricks stack.
• Collaborate with customers, field engineers, product and partner teams to produce reference architectures, deployment plans, and migration strategies.
• Own technical design sessions, provide hands-on guidance during implementation, and ensure solution performance, reliability, and security.
• Contribute to adoption enablement, best practices, and knowledge transfer to customer teams.
• Advise on governance, security, data privacy, and compliance requirements within cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Mentor and coach engineers and architects on delivery methodologies and Databricks platform capabilities.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in solutions architecture, data engineering, or technical delivery
• Deep experience with Apache Spark, Delta Lake, Delta Live Tables, SQL, and Python/Java
• Proven track record delivering production-grade data and analytics solutions on cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP)
• Strong knowledge of data lakehouse patterns, data governance, security controls, and compliance
• Experience with orchestration and deployment tooling (Airflow, Terraform, CloudFormation) and CI/CD pipelines
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills with the ability to interact with executive sponsors
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field; advanced degree a plus

Nice to have

• Experience with Databricks Unity Catalog, MLflow, or ML tooling
