Data Protection Engineer

📋 Description

• Implement Microsoft Purview Information Protection with sensitivity labels and automated classification policies.
• Configure DLP rules in Microsoft 365 to protect CUI and PII.
• Deploy and manage DRM solutions such as Virtru or Kiteworks in classified networks.
• Tune detection rules and models to reduce false positives and improve enforcement.
• Transition security policies from monitoring to enforcement with minimal disruption.
• Collaborate with endpoint security teams to ensure consistent enforcement of policies.

🎯 Requirements

• Active DoD Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
• 3-10 years of relevant experience (Journeyman) or 10+ years (Senior).
• Hands-on with Purview Information Protection and Data Loss Prevention (DLP).
• Experience implementing enterprise encryption or Digital Rights Management platforms.
• Strong data classification methodologies and sensitive data detection knowledge.
• Ability to troubleshoot complex issues related to encryption key management, policy propagation, and endpoint enforcement.
