Data Product Manager

📋 Description

• Translate domain roadmaps into data requirements to unlock user value before build.
• Attend product planning to represent data perspective early in SDLC.
• Maintain a domain-specific data roadmap aligned with priorities.
• Partner with Engineering to ensure foundational capabilities support domain needs.
• Orchestrate team priorities to balance strategy with operations.
• Foster domain expertise with metrics, user journeys, and business logic.
• Own data quality and trustworthiness for domain datasets from ingestion to insight.
• Collaborate with Governance & Quality to apply standards while adapting to domain needs.
• Ensure instrumentation, documentation, and accessibility of domain data assets.
• Serve as primary data partner to product managers, engineering leads, and executives.
• Communicate data insights connecting tech work to user outcomes.
• Manage expectations and communicate tradeoffs in data work.

🎯 Requirements

• 5+ years in data analytics/science with strategic progression.
• 3+ years leading cross-functional data initiatives.
• Experience with modern data stacks (cloud warehouses, BI tools, ETL/ELT).
• Experience in mobile app analytics or consumer digital products preferred.
• Experience in domains such as consumer engagement, marketing tech, or platform/B2B.
• Experience managing data initiatives through organizational change preferred.
• Strong product thinking to translate business objectives into data requirements.
• Excellent stakeholder management and ability to present data to executives.
• Deep knowledge of end-to-end data lifecycle: collection, storage, transformation, analysis, activation.
• Knowledge of personalization engines, recommendations, and experimentation platforms preferred.
• Ability to partner with cross-functional stakeholders to align data strategy with goals.
• Ability to communicate insights clearly and in an executive-ready manner.
