Data Governance Engineer

📋 Description

• Build governance automation using Terraform and Python to drive data quality.
• Partner with data engineering, analytics, product engineering, and compliance teams.
• Create trust signals and scorecards to make data reliability visible.
• Implement upstream governance workflows; ensure data context and metadata sufficiency for downstream use.
• Review designs and provide governance guidance; advocate AI tooling adoption.
• Base salary $160k-$221k; bonus and equity offered.

🎯 Requirements

• 5+ years in data governance/engineering with hands-on data quality, cataloging, and trust.
• Python and Terraform; build scalable data tooling.
• Snowflake and data catalog tools knowledge; cloud data warehouses.
• SOX/CCPA familiarity; regulatory compliance and audits.
• Excellent communication; product-minded; strong stakeholder alignment.
• AI curiosity; ability to drive AI tooling adoption in governance.
