Data Engineer

📋 Description

• Design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines into Snowflake.
• Own and improve ETL/ELT infra, tooling, orchestration, monitoring, and data quality.
• Eliminate manual data workflows by automating auditable processes.
• Partner with Analytics Eng to ensure clean, well-modeled data for Finance and Ops.
• Build and maintain tooling for self-serve data access across the org.
• Contribute to data governance: access controls, lineage, and data quality.
• Collaborate with software engineers to instrument systems and ingest data cleanly.

🎯 Requirements

• Strong SQL and experience with modern cloud data warehouses (Snowflake preferred)
• Experience building production data pipelines with Airbyte, Airflow, Dagster, or similar
• Proficiency in Python and Terraform for data engineering tasks
• Familiarity with dbt or similar transformation frameworks
• Track record shipping reliable, well-monitored data systems in production
• Comfort navigating ambiguity and driving projects with minimal oversight
• Experience in fintech, payments, or financial services preferred
• Familiarity with AWS services (Lambda, Glue, S3, Step Functions, RDS) preferred
• Experience supporting Finance/Accounting with financial data concepts (revenue recognition, reconciliation, month-end close) preferred
• Exposure to data platform work (access control, data cataloging, lineage tooling) preferred
• Experience at high-volume transaction companies; correctness and reliability critical
