Data Center Operations Technician

📋 Description

• Execute remote hands and customer support tasks (reboots, media swaps, visual inspections).
• Install, test, label, and maintain copper and fiber cabling, patch panels, cross-connects.
• Provision and troubleshoot interconnection services within physical layer scope.
• Monitor alarms and validate field conditions; escalate issues as needed.
• Maintain documentation for cross-connects, connectivity paths, and capacity.
• Support rack-and-stack, cable management, and equipment readiness.

🎯 Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical training or certifications preferred.
• 2+ years in data center ops, structured cabling, telecom, or IT support.
• Experience with copper/fiber cabling, patch panels, cross-connects, and cable testing tools.
• Familiarity with remote hands, ticketing systems, and customer support in technical env.
• Basic understanding of data center layouts and interconnection environments.
• Ability to work shifts including nights, weekends, holidays, and on-call rotations.
