Data Center Operations Technician

📋 Description

• Execute remote hands tasks and support requests: reboots, media swaps, inspections.
• Install, test, label, and maintain copper and fiber cabling, patch panels, cross-connects.
• Provision and troubleshoot customer/carrier interconnections within physical-layer scope.
• Monitor alarms and field conditions; perform rounds and escalate issues.
• Maintain documentation for cross-connects, connectivity paths, and capacity.
• Support data center hardware readiness through rack-and-stack and cable management.

🎯 Requirements

• Hands-on experience in data center ops, structured cabling, telecom, or IT infra.
• Strong knowledge of copper and fiber, patching, testing, and physical-layer troubleshooting.
• Ability to work precisely in live customer environments without causing risk.
• Attention to labeling, documentation, change control, and client-facing work.
• Recognize abnormalities and escalate clearly with context.
• Comfortable in a 24x7 environment requiring responsiveness and professionalism.
