- Oversee the lifecycle of physical servers, network devices, and other IT infrastructure components.
- Install, configure, and maintain server and network components in our data centers.
- Plan rack layouts, cabling, and patch schedules to optimize operations.
- Diagnose hardware issues; coordinate with vendors for repairs (RMA) and timely resolution.
- Travel to NJ-area data centers as needed; maintain accurate documentation.
- Maintain office IT infrastructure and relationships with vendors/remote hands teams.
🎯 Requirements
- 5+ years of hands-on data center engineering experience.
- Strong knowledge of server hardware, network devices, and storage systems.
- Fiber optic cabling, transceivers, and testing/cleaning required.
- Basic Linux knowledge and networking protocols.
- Racking, cabling, and facilities management tools experience.
- Bash and Python scripting in Linux is a plus.
- Excellent time management and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Valid driver's license; ability to travel between facilities; lifting up to 60 lbs.
