DAQ Station Engineer

📋 Description

• Design and develop station hardware and electromechanical subsystems.
• Translate needs into clear hardware requirements, prototypes, and production designs.
• Support hardware through concept, design, build, test, deployment, iteration.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to integrate hardware with robotics platforms and software.
• Improve station reliability, usability, and serviceability; diagnose field issues.
• Work with vendors and fabrication partners to ensure build quality.
• Contribute to design standards, documentation, and validation practices.

🎯 Requirements

• Strong experience developing mechanical or electromechanical hardware for complex physical systems.
• Designed equipment, fixtures, workcells, test systems, or automation hardware.
• Comfortable moving from ambiguous requirements to hands-on prototypes and robust released designs.
• Experience with CAD, prototyping, fabrication methods, design documentation, and issue tracking.
• Experience working with external suppliers, machine shops, or contract fabricators.
