Job Summary:
As a Marketing Operations Manager, you will act as a
seniormarketingcontributorwho can work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.Key to this role is a deep understanding and commitment to data quality and familiarity with the Customer Relationship Management system (CRM),Marketing AutomationPlatform(MAP), ABMPlatformsand familiarity with variousMarTechtools. This role encompassesprogramand process building,data normalizationprocedures, andcross-functional communications thatsupportthe marketingorganization. The Marketing OperationsManagerwill focus oncross-departmentprogramand processdevelopmentto helpfacilitatemarketingactivities and company effortsdesigned to grow our business.How You'll Make an Impact:
- Marketing Technology Stack Management: Manage andoptimizethe marketing technology stack, including marketing automation platforms, CRM systems,lead management programs, and other relevant software.
- Workflow Design and Automation: Create andoptimizeautomated marketing workflows that nurture leads, engage customers, and drive conversions.
- Data Integration and Management: Ensure seamless integration between marketing automation platforms and other systems (e.g., CRM) tomaintainaccurateand updated customer data.
- Process Documentation:UsingConfluenceyou’lldevelop andmaintaindocumentation, blueprints, and roadmaps for processes, automation, and customer journeys/experiences built within theMarTechstack.
- DataAnalytics and Reporting:Support the Marketing Analyst in analyzingmarketing data, generatinginsights, and creatingregular reports to track campaign performance and measure key metrics.
- Vendor Management: Manage relationships with marketing technology vendors, agencies, and technology partners to ensure effective support,collaborationand bestplatform outcomes.
- Data Privacy and Compliance: Ensure compliance with data privacy regulations (such as GDPR, CCPA) in all marketing automation activities.
- Process Optimization:Identifyareas for process improvement and streamline marketing operations to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with various teams, including marketing, sales,RevOps,IT, and business intelligence, to ensure seamless operations and alignment.
- Marketing Technology Evaluation: Stay updated with industry trends and evaluatenew marketingtechnologies that could enhance automation and operations.
- Technical Support:Troubleshoot technical issues related to HTML templates, list segmentation, campaign tracking, integrations, and other aspects ofourMarTechstack.
What You'll Bring to the Role:
Experience:
- 5+ years of experience in marketing operations, marketing automation, or related fields.Previousroles in progressively more responsible positions are essential.
- Proven experience in managing marketing operations, automation, and technology platforms to support marketing campaigns and initiatives.
- Experience collaboratingand influencingdiverse teams, including marketing, sales, IT, and analytics, to achieve marketing goals.
- Track recordof managing and delivering marketingtechnologyprojects on time and withinscopethenmanaging relationships with marketingtechnologyplatform vendors, agencies, and technology partners.
- Experienceinfluencingteams through transitions, such as adoptingnew marketingtechnologies or processes.
- Demonstrated ability tooptimizemarketing processes, improve efficiency, and enhance operational effectiveness.
- Capability to align marketing automation efforts with long-term business goals and contribute to overall marketing strategy.
Skills:
- Marketing Automationand ABMPlatforms:
- Strong technical skills, including knowledge of marketing automation tools, CRM systems (Salesforce), analytics platforms, and related technologiesto design and execute automated marketing campaigns.
- Relevant certifications from marketing/salesplatformsSalesforce, 6sense,MCAE,Sales Engagement Platformsor related organizationsare an asset.
- Data Management and Analytics: Skill in handling and analyzing marketing data, extracting actionable insights, and tracking campaign performance.
- CRM Integration: Ability to integrate marketing automation platforms with customer relationship management (CRM) systems for seamless data synchronization.
- Workflow Design and Automation: Skill in designing, building, andoptimizingautomated workflows to nurture leads and engage customers.
- Lead Scoring:Proficiencyin setting up lead scoring models to prioritize and qualify leads for the sales team.
- Data Privacy and Compliance:Understanding ofdata privacy regulations (such as GDPR or CCPA) and the ability to ensure compliance in marketing automation efforts.
- Craft executive-ready presentations: Distill complex ideas into clear, persuasive narratives, driving stakeholder engagement and decision-making.
- MarketingTechnology Stack:
- Familiarity with various marketing technologies and tools (ie: 6sense, Lean Data, UserGems, Sendoso, Qualified or similar) that integrate with marketing automation platforms.
- Knowledge of how to troubleshoot technical issues related to HTML templates, list segmentation, campaign tracking, integrations, and other aspects of the MarTech stack.
- Database Management: Ability to manage andmaintainclean and organized marketing databases foraccuratetargeting and reporting.
- Visualization and Analytics:Experience querying and visualizing dataor experience with AttributionPlatformsan asset.
Location: This role is open to all candidates across Canada, however we would love to have someone join our team (3 days per week) at one of our offices in either Kitchener or Toronto.
Start Date: January 12, 2026
The expected base salary range for a new hire in this role is listed below.The annualized base salary offered is determined by each candidate’s relevant knowledge, skills, education, training and experience. It is aligned to ensure both internal and external competitiveness using market data for the geographic location and industry. As part of the total compensation at D2L the role may be eligible for additional benefits including a Wellness Subsidy, Equity Grants, Variable Incentive, and more.
