Overview
Cybereason is a leading cybersecurity company. We are seeking a Windows Internals and Kernel Engineer to join our Security Engineering team in Tel Aviv. In this role you will work on Windows operating system internals, kernel-mode components, and driver interactions to improve security and performance. You will analyze Windows internals, contribute to low-level design, and help diagnose kernel-mode issues. You will collaborate with threat detection, research, and engineering teams to build robust Windows protections.
Responsibilities
- Analyze Windows kernel architecture and internals
- Develop and maintain kernel-mode components and drivers
- Design and implement performance optimizations and memory management improvements
- Debug complex kernel-mode problems using WinDbg, KD, and other debugging tools
- Collaborate with security researchers and product teams to design and validate protections
- Write tests, contribute to documentation, and participate in code reviews
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure security of Windows-based products
Qualifications
- Strong knowledge of Windows architecture, kernel-mode and driver development
- Proficiency in C/C++ with kernel-mode experience
- Hands-on experience with Windows debugging tools (WinDbg, KD, WinDbg Preview)
- Familiarity with memory management, I/O, scheduling, interrupts
- Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Computer Science or related field; equivalent experience
- Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and able to work in a fast-paced security environment
- Knowledge of cybersecurity concepts is a plus

- Prior security research or vulnerability analysis experience
- Familiarity with other OS internals and virtualization
