Location: Americas Remote — remote-friendly team

We are seeking an experienced Senior Frontend Engineer to join Customer.io’s product engineering team. In this remote-first role, you will help build and scale our frontend experience for customers around the world.

What you'll do

• Design, implement, and maintain high-quality frontend features using React and TypeScript.
• Collaborate with product management, design, and backend teams to deliver delightful user experiences.
• Improve performance, accessibility, and reliability of the web application.
• Write tests, participate in code reviews, and own frontend components from conception to production.
• Contribute to architecture decisions and help shape engineering best practices.

What we're looking for

• 5+ years of frontend development experience in production web applications.
• Strong proficiency with JavaScript/TypeScript, React, HTML, CSS.
• Experience with modern frontend tooling (webpack, Vite, Babel) and state management (e.g., Redux, Zustand).
• Familiarity with performance optimization, accessibility (a11y), and cross-browser compatibility.
• Ability to work asynchronously with a distributed team and excellent communication skills.
• Bonus: experience with analytics/marketing platforms, REST/GraphQL APIs, and testing frameworks (Jest, Cypress).

Nice to have

Experience with analytics platforms, REST/GraphQL APIs, and testing frameworks is considered a plus.
