📋 Description

  • Debug VCL and Compute (Wasm); optimize cache hits and HTTP headers.
  • Guide customers through Fastly Control Panel, RBAC, and dashboards.
  • Handle inquiries via email, chat, Slack with FRT under 30 minutes.
  • Educate on edge architecture; share learnings; update docs.
  • Support via email, chat, portal; live triage via video/phone; SLA.
  • On-call monitoring during large events; PagerDuty rotation.

🎯 Requirements

  • 2-4 years in technical support, sysadmin, or network role.
  • HTTP/s, TCP/IP, TLS, DNS; explain delivering a page under 200ms.
  • VCL, Python, Ruby/Go, JavaScript, Rust; entry–mid level.
  • UI & API literacy; use SaaS panels and RESTful APIs via CLI.
  • Strong written communication and analytical skills with customers.
  • Triage skills; knowledge of network telemetry and diagnostics tools.
  • Networking exposure: BGP, internet routing, transit vs peering.
  • BA/BS in engineering or CS preferred.
