Overview
Cribl is seeking a Senior Software Developer in Test (SDET), Performance to design, implement, and maintain scalable performance tests for Cribl's data observability platform. This remote-friendly role is open to candidates in Poland. You will partner with product and engineering teams to ensure reliability and performance at scale, contribute to test strategy, and improve testing tooling.
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain performance test suites for Cribl's data routing and observability platform.
- Collaborate with software engineers and QA to define performance criteria and quality gates.
- Develop scalable load and performance tests for data ingestion, routing, and analytics features.
- Analyze performance metrics, identify bottlenecks, and drive optimization efforts.
- Integrate performance tests into CI/CD pipelines and ensure repeatable test execution.
- Develop and maintain tooling for data collection, dashboards, and reporting of performance results.
- Mentor and guide junior SDETs and contribute to testing strategy across teams.
Qualifications
- 5+ years experience as an SDET or software engineer focused on testing, with a strong background in performance testing.
- Proficiency with performance testing frameworks and tooling; experience with load testing, stress testing, and capacity planning.
- Strong programming skills in one or more languages (e.g., Java, Python, Go).
- Experience with distributed systems, microservices, containers, and cloud platforms (AWS/GCP).
- Solid Linux/Unix experience and scripting abilities.
- SQL experience and data analysis skills to interpret performance data.
- Familiarity with CI/CD, version control, and test automation.
- Excellent collaboration, communication, and problem-solving abilities.
