As our Junior Accountant, you will play a key role in Creative Fabrica’s day-to-day accounting operations, with primary responsibility for Accounts Payable while also contributing to month-end close, reconciliations, journal entries, VAT returns, and other accounting tasks. This role is designed for someone ready to grow into a broader Accountant position over time, gaining exposure to more complex processes and projects.

You will work daily in Oracle NetSuite ERP, liaise with vendors, and collaborate closely with colleagues across departments. We are looking for a detail-oriented, proactive professional who understands accounting fundamentals, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and is eager to develop into a well-rounded accountant.

You will be part of a small, dedicated finance team and report to the Head of Accounting.

What you'll do

Accounts Payable

  • Manage the Accounts Payable mailbox and ensure timely processing of all incoming invoices.
  • Code invoices accurately to the correct general ledger accounts.
  • Follow up on unmatched or unapproved invoices and route them for proper authorization.
  • Process and reconcile credit card transactions.
  • Resolve AP issues such as outstanding, duplicate, or incorrectly recorded invoices.
  • Prepare weekly/monthly payment runs, including SEPA and PayPal payments.
  • Maintain vendor records, manage payment schedules, and ensure compliance with agreed terms.
Bank & Reconciliations
  • Process bank and credit card transactions in NetSuite.
  • Perform monthly bank reconciliations.
  • Reconcile the AP ledger and investigate discrepancies.
  • Prepare and maintain AP-related reports.
General Accounting & Month-End Close
  • Prepare and post journal entries, including revenue recognition entries.
  • Assist with more complex accounting entries under the guidance of the Accountant.
  • Perform monthly account reconciliations.
  • Assist with quarterly VAT preparation and filings.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date general ledger records.
Audit & Reporting
  • Support month-end and year-end close procedures.
  • Assist in preparing audit documentation.
  • Ensure compliance with internal controls and accounting standards.
Projects & Process Improvements
  • Support the implementation of automated bank feeds and expense integrations in NetSuite.
  • Help improve expense claim and credit card processing workflows.
  • Contribute ideas to streamline AP and accounting processes for efficiency and accuracy.
What you'll need
  • 1+ years of experience in a similar accounting role, ideally combining AP with other accounting responsibilities.
  • Strong understanding of accounting and accounts payable principles.
  • Experience with ERP systems, preferably NetSuite.
  • Microsoft Excel skills and willingness to learn.
  • Familiarity with VAT regulations and processes.
  • Dutch Accounting Knowledge
  • A detail-oriented, organised, and structured work approach.
  • A degree / past experience in accounting, finance, or business administration.
  • Clear, professional, and solution-focused communication skills.
  • Strong command of English (written and spoken).
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Nice to have
  • Experience in an international B2C environment.
  • Ability to read and understand Dutch
