We are seeking a Senior Software Engineer, Enterprise Admin to join our team in India and help build and scale enterprise administration capabilities for Coursera’s enterprise customers.
Role Overview
As a Senior Software Engineer, Enterprise Admin based in India, you will design, build, and maintain backend services and admin tooling that enable enterprise customers to manage users, access, and governance at scale. You will collaborate across product, security, and data teams to deliver reliable, secure, and scalable admin experiences.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain backend services for enterprise admin functionality.
- Implement identity and access management features, including SSO/SAML/OAuth, user provisioning, and access controls.
- Build and improve admin dashboards and tooling to support large-scale deployments.
- Collaborate with product, security, data, and design teams to ensure reliable and secure experiences.
- Mentor junior engineers and contribute to system design and code quality.
- Ensure reliability, performance, and scalability with monitoring and best practices.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or higher degree in Computer Science or a related field.
- 5+ years of professional software development experience.
- Strong experience with backend languages (e.g., Java, Python, Go) and building RESTful services.
- Experience with identity management, SSO/SAML/OAuth, and concepts like SCIM.
- Proficiency with databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL, NoSQL) and data modeling.
- Experience with cloud infrastructure (AWS or GCP) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Strong collaboration, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Nice to have
- Experience in education tech or enterprise software.
- Security and compliance experience.
