Overview
Coursera is seeking a Senior Account Executive, Public Sector (Paris Based) to lead strategic sales and partnerships with government agencies, higher education institutions, and public organizations across France. You will drive revenue growth by positioning Coursera’s learning platform and workforce development solutions to public sector stakeholders and decision-makers.
Responsibilities
- Own end-to-end public sector sales cycles from prospecting to closing across France
- Develop territory plans, account strategies, and long-term relationships with key public sector accounts
- Collaborate with Solutions Engineering, Marketing, and Product to tailor Coursera offerings to public sector needs
- Lead RFP responses, proposals, and negotiation processes with government entities
- Meet or exceed quarterly and annual sales targets and contribute to the growth of Coursera’s public sector footprint
- Forecast accurately, maintain healthy pipeline, and provide regular updates to leadership
- Ensure customer satisfaction and successful post-sale adoption of Coursera solutions
Requirements
- 8+ years of enterprise software sales experience in the public sector
- Established network within French public sector (government agencies, higher education, public institutions)
- Proven track record of achieving or exceeding quotas and driving strategic deals
- Strong communication, presentation, and negotiation skills
- Fluency in English and French; willingness to travel as needed
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment and collaborate across teams
