Country Director, India

📋 Description

• Own and drive Coinbase India business, including user growth, revenue, and market position
• Define and execute country strategy with regulatory and competitive insights
• Partner with Product, Engineering, and Design to launch locally relevant products
• Lead cross-functional initiatives with Marketing, Business Development, Legal, Compliance, and Policy
• Build and lead a high-performing local team
• Represent Coinbase in India with regulators, partners, media, and industry forums

🎯 Requirements

• Senior leadership experience leading and scaling a platform, ecommerce, fintech, or trading business in India
• 5+ years in a senior leadership role in one of the above industries
• Understanding Indian regulated financial services ecosystem and regulatory oversight
• Track record partnering with Product/Marketing/BD to scale products in regulated environments
• Direct experience engaging with regulators and policy stakeholders
• Strong understanding across Compliance, Risk, Finance, Treasury, and Audit in regulated institutions
• Comfortable operating in a remote-first, globally matrixed organization
• Pragmatic and solutions-oriented with bias toward action and continuous improvement
• Exceptional written and verbal English communication; able to influence senior stakeholders
• Structured analytical problem-solver who navigates ambiguity
• Strong interest in crypto and blockchain space
• Experience with multinational US-headquartered business entering India
• Experience with retail payments, trading, or brokerage platforms
• Personal interest or experience in crypto/blockchain
