Counsel, Product & Commercial (Rideshare & Safety)

📋 Description

• Shape Lyft safety, risk, and fraud strategy; provide legal frameworks to drive strategy forward
• Provide rapid-response guidance on safety incidents; coordinate with Comms and Litigation
• Lead long-term initiatives across teams to ensure timely program delivery
• Partner with Product, Marketing, Engineering, Risk, Policy, and Comms on regulatory and employment issues
• Develop and drive long-term legal strategies balancing risk and business goals
• Be pragmatic, entrepreneurial, and able to operate in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment

🎯 Requirements

• 5+ years in law firm or in-house
• J.D. from top law school; active membership in at least one U.S. state bar
• Experience advising on user trust and safety issues at a tech company
• Energy and curiosity for unfamiliar questions
• Experience handling sensitive, high-profile matters with sound judgment
• Creative, entrepreneurial approach; balance risk with operations
