Software Engineer II – Developer Productivity

Overview

CoreWeave is seeking a Software Engineer II focused on Developer Productivity. This role involves building and maintaining internal tools that help our engineers move faster, improve build times, and enhance the overall developer experience. You will contribute across multiple offices and collaborate with Platform and Infrastructure teams to optimize workflows used by software engineers.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain internal developer productivity tools and tooling for build, test, and deployment pipelines.
• Collaborate with Platform and Infrastructure teams to optimize CI/CD, code review processes, and engineering workflows.
• Improve developer experience by reducing friction in day-to-day engineering tasks and tooling integration.
• Monitor, measure, and iterate on tooling effectiveness and performance.
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to documentation for internal tools.

Requirements

• 2+ years of software development experience (Software Engineer II level).
• Proficiency in at least one systems-oriented language and a willingness to work across toolchains (e.g., Go, C++, Python).
• Experience building internal tooling to improve developer productivity, with a focus on tooling, reliability, and usability.
• Strong problem-solving skills, debugging abilities, and collaboration across teams.

Nice-to-have

• Experience with distributed systems, containerization, Kubernetes, or cloud tooling.
