Role overview

Senior Network Engineer, Data Center at CoreWeave will design, implement, and maintain the company’s data center network infrastructure to ensure low latency, high availability, and strong security across sites. You will collaborate with infrastructure, security, and platform teams to support GPU-accelerated workloads with robust networking foundations.

Responsibilities

• Design and scale data center network architectures across multiple sites.
• Configure and optimize routing protocols (BGP, OSPF) and IP addressing plans.
• Manage switches, VLANs, VXLAN, firewall rules, load balancers, and security controls.
• Ensure network reliability through redundancy, monitoring, and incident response; participate in on-call rotations.
• Collaborate with infrastructure, security, and platform teams; document designs and configurations.
• Automate network tasks using scripting/automation tools (e.g., Python, Ansible).

Qualifications

• 5+ years of data center networking experience in large-scale environments.
• Hands-on experience with Cisco and/or Juniper hardware.
• Strong knowledge of BGP, OSPF, TCP/IP, VLANs, VXLAN, and related protocols.
• Experience with network security controls, firewalls, and load balancers.
• Scripting/automation experience (Python, Ansible, or similar).
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent.
