Security Engineer - Network Security

CoreWeave is seeking a Security Engineer focused on Network Security to protect our scalable cloud and data-center deployments. In this role you will design, implement, and operate network security controls across our infrastructure, monitor for threats, and respond to security incidents. You will collaborate with Platform and Software teams to build secure architectures and reduce risk.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain network security controls (firewalls, VPNs, segmentation) across cloud and on-prem environments.
• Monitor security posture using SIEM and other security tooling; detect and respond to security incidents efficiently.
• Manage vulnerability management programs and coordinate with engineering teams to remediate findings.
• Conduct risk assessments and threat modeling for new features and deployments.
• Collaborate with DevOps and Platform teams to implement secure architectures and best practices.
• Participate in incident response, post-incident reviews, and maintenance of runbooks.
• Maintain security documentation, policies, and onboarding materials for teams.

Qualifications

• Experience in security engineering or network security roles with strong knowledge of network security concepts (firewalls, VPNs, TLS, segmentation).
• Familiarity with cloud security across providers (AWS, GCP, Azure) and associated IAM/KMS/security groups.
• Experience with SIEM, IDS/IPS, and incident response processes.
• Scripting skills (e.g., Python, Bash) for automation; familiarity with infrastructure as code (Terraform) is a plus.
• Excellent communication and cross-team collaboration skills.

Nice to Have

• Security certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or similar.
• Experience with zero-trust architectures and micro-segmentation.
