We are seeking an Operations Accounting Manager – Leases to lead our lease accounting function, ensure GAAP compliance across lease activities, and collaborate with cross‑functional teams to optimize financial processes.

Job Overview

As the Operations Accounting Manager – Leases, you will oversee all lease accounting activities (ASC 842), manage lease data integrity, and own the monthly close process related to leases. You will partner with Real Estate, Legal, Treasury, and FP&A to ensure accurate capitalization, amortization, and disclosures while driving continuous improvements in processes and controls.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead lease accounting under ASC 842, including recognition, measurement, classification, capitalization, and amortization.
• Maintain lease schedules and data integrity within ERP systems; prepare related reporting.
• Prepare journal entries and financial statements for lease transactions; assist with month‑end close.
• Coordinate with Real Estate, Legal, and Procurement to ensure accurate contract terms and data.
• Operate and improve lease accounting processes; implement controls to prevent misstatements.
• Support internal and external audits, providing schedules and documentation as needed.
• Supervise and develop junior team members; foster a culture of accuracy and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA preferred.
• 5+ years of progressive experience in lease accounting and ASC 842.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and lease accounting standards; experience with ERP systems is a plus (e.g., Oracle Financials Cloud, SAP ERP, NetSuite).
• Proficient in Excel and financial modeling; excellent analytical and communication skills.
• Ability to collaborate across cross‑functional teams and manage multiple priorities.
