Director, ASC 740, Income Tax & Forecasting

Role overview

CoreWeave is seeking a Director of ASC 740, Income Tax & Forecasting to lead its income tax accounting, tax provisioning, and forecasting activities across multiple U.S. locations. This senior finance leader will partner with Tax, Accounting, FP&A, and Legal to ensure accurate ASC 740 calculations, timely financial reporting, and compliant operations as the company grows.

Responsibilities

• Lead ASC 740 tax provisioning process, including monthly and quarterly close.
• Oversee tax accounting policies and ensure alignment with GAAP and regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate with FP&A to develop income tax forecasts and scenarios.
• Coordinate with Tax and Legal for multi-jurisdictional compliance (federal, state, local, and international).
• Develop and maintain tax data collection processes, improve data quality, and implement automation where possible.
• Prepare reports for senior management and external auditors; liaise with external tax advisors as needed.
• Build and mentor a high-performing tax team and drive process improvements across the function.

Requirements

• Proven experience in ASC 740 tax provision and corporate tax accounting.
• Strong forecasting, budgeting, and financial modeling skills.
• Experience with multi-jurisdictional tax compliance; international tax experience is a plus.
• CPA or equivalent professional certification preferred; advanced degree a plus.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field; MBA preferred.
