Main Responsibilities
- Project Leadership and Implementation: Oversee the planning, execution, and real-time adjustment of emergency response programs, including but not limited to shelter, WASH, case management, relief distributions, infrastructure repair, and community engagement.
- Lead rapid and ongoing needs assessments to inform program strategy and prioritize interventions.
- Deployment and Operational Oversight: Serve as CORE’s senior-most representative in the field, providing strategic and operational leadership across all scopes of work.
- Interdepartmental Coordination: Facilitate coordination between field operations and HQ, ensuring timely data flow and documentation for stakeholders.
- Team Supervision and Training: Supervise field-based staff and roster members, lead onboarding and training, and disseminate SOPs.
- Administrative and Reporting Duties: Track program outputs, deliverables, and key performance indicators; contribute to donor and HQ reporting.
Scope and Travel
- Supervises: Program managers, coordinators, roster members, and volunteers.
- Travel to U.S.-based emergencies and potentially international sites, deployments ranging from 2 to 12 weeks; passport required.
Qualifications
- Experience in emergency response, humanitarian aid, or related fields; bachelor’s degree welcomed but not required—equivalent experience valued.
- Ability to lead teams and work across diverse communities and partners in crisis contexts.
- Commitment to CORE’s mission and understanding of challenges faced by underserved populations.
Experience
- Minimum 3 years in emergency response or related program implementation; experience leading teams or managing response projects in humanitarian contexts; familiarity with shelter, WASH, distributions is a plus.
Skills & Competencies
- Proficient with Microsoft Office and project management tools.
- Strong leadership and decision-making under pressure.
- Stakeholder engagement and community-based service delivery.
- Valid Driver’s License and clean driving history; Spanish or other language skills preferred.
