- Join Newsela's data team as Analytics Reporting Engineer.
- Apply data modeling, transformation and testing to deliver quality data.
- Build and maintain composable data models; optimize SQL performance.
- Maintain Python APIs to serve data to customers.
- Transform raw data into business insights for customer reporting.
- Lead scoping, design, planning; groom tickets and organize sprints.
🎯 Requirements
- 5+ years experience working with data in a software environment.
- Proficient in SQL and Python; DBT and DAG tooling (Dagster/Airflow).
- Experience in data modeling, transformation, and data integrity testing.
- Python API development experience is a plus.
- Cloud experience with AWS or GCP; Terraform is a plus.
- Autonomous worker with deep domain knowledge of data systems.
