About the role

We are seeking a Senior Payroll Specialist for a

6-month fixed-term contract to cover parental leave,

ideally starting in October 2025. Reporting to the Payroll Manager, you will contribute to the delivery of accurate and compliant payroll operations in France, while ensuring a smooth and supportive experience for employees

In your day to day you will:

  • Oversee and monitor payroll controls on payroll processed by the Payroll Producer in the team.
  • Provide daily support to the Payroll Producer, including resolving routine issues, ensuring timely payroll delivery, analyzing DSN anomalies, and liaising with URSSAF, Social Security, and Prévoyance.
  • Support the Payroll Manager in addressing complex or non-routine payroll issues.
  • Act as back-up for the Payroll Producer during absences.
  • Contribute to recurring payroll cycle activities (certifications, reporting, audits).
  • Help develop and implement payroll standards, including root-cause analysis in cases of non-compliance.
  • Draft, review, and maintain payroll procedures and our knowledge base, ensuring compliance with applicable laws and internal policies.
  • Contribute to payroll department projects and audit preparation.
  • Execute and maintain payroll reporting processes.
  • Respond to queries from employees, external providers, and other stakeholders with professionalism and empathy.
  • What We’re Looking For

  • Technical Competencies

  • 5+ years of experience within a similar or equivalent position, handling in-house payroll for France on ADP Decidium
  • Solid knowledge of French payroll regulations, particularly under the SYNTEC agreement.
  • Advanced Excel skills (VLOOKUP, formula creation, complex calculations)
  • Comfortable working with IT tools and numerical calculations.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in French; working proficiency in English (Intermediate+).

  • Strong attention to detail and analytical mindset.
  • Critical thinking skills to analyze and improve payroll processes and controls.
  • Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to work under deadlines and manage projects.
  • Collaborative mindset and strong communication skills.
  • Ability to communicate with empathy and professionalism when supporting employees.
  • Curiosity and a desire to continuously learn and improve.
