Senior Solution Engineer - Strategic Accounts at Contentful

Contentful is seeking a Senior Solution Engineer to partner with Strategic Accounts to design and deliver scalable content solutions built on Contentful's headless CMS platform. You will work closely with the Sales team to articulate technical value, deliver live product demonstrations, craft reference architectures, and guide customers through technical evaluations and pilots.

Responsibilities

• Partner with Sales to understand business and technical requirements for strategic accounts
• Deliver tailored product demonstrations and technical workshops
• Architect and propose scalable content solutions using Contentful APIs (GraphQL/REST) and cloud platforms
• Respond to technical inquiries, develop proof-of-concept prototypes, and support evaluations
• Collaborate with Customer Success and Product to incorporate feedback and feature requests
• Stay current with market trends and competitive landscape to inform strategic guidance

Requirements

• 5+ years in solutions engineering, pre-sales, or related roles within enterprise software
• Strong experience with APIs (GraphQL, REST), web technologies, and modern cloud architectures (AWS, Azure, GCP)
• Experience with headless content platforms or CMS; familiarity with Contentful is a plus
• Excellent communication and presentation skills for executive stakeholders
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
• Ability to design reference architectures, support pilots, and guide customers through technical evaluations
• Willingness to travel as needed (up to ~25-30%)
