Role overview

We are seeking a Senior Solution Engineer – Strategic Accounts to partner with our most strategic customers, translate business needs into technical solutions, and champion Contentful’s platform throughout the sales cycle.

Responsibilities

• Partner with Sales to understand customer objectives and translate them into value-driven solutions using Contentful
• Deliver tailored product demonstrations and proofs of value for both technical and executive audiences
• Architect and articulate integration patterns using REST and GraphQL APIs, Contentful SDKs, and modern front-end frameworks
• Respond to RFPs and technical inquiries, and position Contentful against alternatives
• Collaborate with Product, Engineering, and Customer Success to ensure successful deployment and adoption in strategic accounts
• Stay current with product roadmap and industry trends to guide customers on best practices

Qualifications

• 5+ years in solutions engineering, pre-sales, or related field, preferably in SaaS or CMS environments
• Strong hands-on experience with REST APIs and GraphQL; solid understanding of Headless CMS concepts
• Proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript and experience with front-end frameworks such as React
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP)
• Excellent communication, presentation, and storytelling skills; comfortable presenting to C-level stakeholders
• Ability to travel as needed for strategic accounts

Location and work model

Boise, Idaho, United States. This is an on-site role.
