Role Overview

As Senior Director, Learning Services, you will own and grow Contentful's global learning programs. You will design the learning strategy, build and lead a high-performing team, and partner with Product, Customer Success, and Sales to ensure customers realize value from Contentful's platform. This role is based in New York City and will oversee a growing team of instructional designers, program managers, customer education specialists, and enablement professionals.

Key Responsibilities

• Define and execute a comprehensive global learning strategy for customers, partners, and internal teams.
• Build and lead a diverse Learning Services team (instructional designers, program managers, customer education specialists).
• Oversee creation of learning content, curricula, certifications, and self-service resources; align with product roadmaps and customer outcomes.
• Collaborate with Product, Customer Success, Sales, and Marketing to identify enablement needs and measure impact.
• Manage budgets, vendor partnerships, and scalable delivery channels (live coaching, digital courses, webinars, on-demand content).
• Establish KPIs and analytics to demonstrate program effectiveness (adoption, time-to-value, NPS).
• Drive continuous improvement through customer feedback and data-driven insights.
• Champion accessibility and inclusive design across all learning initiatives.

Requirements / Qualifications

• 10+ years in learning and development, customer education, or related leadership roles in technology.
• Proven ability to build, lead, and scale high-performing teams across multiple regions.
• Strong cross-functional collaboration with Product, Success, and Sales; excellent stakeholder management.
• Experience with Learning Management Systems, content authoring tools, analytics, and instructional design.
• Bachelor's degree; MBA or equivalent advanced degree preferred.
• Strategic thinker with a track record of delivering measurable business impact.
