About the Role:

We are seeking a highly experienced and detail-oriented Senior Manager of Accounting Compliance to lead and manage the preparation of statutory financial statements and execution of international statutory audits across multiple entities in EMEA and APAC. This role is critical in ensuring compliance with local accounting standards and regulatory requirements in countries where the company operates.

You will partner cross-functionally with global accounting teams, external auditors, tax, legal, and regional business partners to drive timely and accurate local financial reporting. The ideal candidate has a strong technical accounting background, experience with international GAAPs (e.g., IFRS, local GAAPs), and a successful track record managing statutory audits globally.

In addition to statutory compliance responsibilities, this role presents a strategic opportunity to redesign and streamline existing processes, enhance internal controls, and evaluate opportunities to bring outsourced work in-house. You will play a key role in driving operational efficiency and building a scalable, best-in-class statutory compliance function that supports the company’s global growth.

What You Will Do:

  • Oversee the preparation and review of local statutory financial statements for entities within multiple jurisdictions, ensuring compliance with local GAAP and regulatory filing deadlines.

  • Manage the annual statutory calendar, ensuring timely coordination with internal teams and external service providers.

  • Ensure consistency between US GAAP and local GAAP reporting, including tracking and reconciling differences.

  • Lead and coordinate statutory audits with external auditors across multiple countries.

  • Own the end-to-end audit process, from planning and data requests to issue resolution and audit sign-offs.

  • Serve as the primary liaison between global finance teams and audit firms.

  • Ensure compliance with local financial regulations and corporate policies.

  • Partner with internal controls and compliance teams to ensure controls over statutory reporting processes are effective.

  • Monitor changes in statutory accounting rules / local requirements and implement process changes to reflect them.

  • Collaborate with tax, legal, treasury, and FP&A teams to support statutory reporting and entity compliance.

  • Identify and drive opportunities to streamline and standardise statutory reporting processes across entities.

  • Support implementation of automation tools, local GAAP reporting solutions, or ERP enhancements related to compliance and reporting.

What You Will Bring:

  • CPA, ACCA, ACA, or equivalent international accounting certification required.

  • 8+ years of progressive accounting experience, including international statutory audit and financial reporting.

  • Strong knowledge of US GAAP, IFRS, and other local GAAPs (e.g., UK GAAP, German HGB, India AS, etc.).

  • Experience managing global statutory audits and working with Big 4 or similar audit firms.

  • Familiarity with sales based compensation, tax provisioning, transfer pricing, or intercompany accounting.

  • Proven project management and multi-entity coordination skills.

  • Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., NetSuite) and strong Excel skills.

  • Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder engagement skills.

  • Exposure to statutory automation tools like Thomson Reuters, Longview, Workiva, or similar (Preferred).
