We are seeking an experienced and certified Finance Business Systems Analyst to join the Confluent Finance Systems Team as a dedicated Anaplan Ops Model Builder.
As an Anaplan Model Builder, you will play a crucial role in designing, building, and maintaining Anaplan models that support our financial planning and analysis processes. The ideal candidate is passionate about leveraging technology to drive business performance and has a strong background in financial modeling, reporting, ux dashboard, enabling users, and supporting monthly processes.
You will act as a strategic partner, translating complex financial requirements into scalable connected planning solutions. This position offers the opportunity to drive significant business impact, exercise critical thinking, and lead initiatives that directly contribute to Confluent’s growth and operational excellence.
Apply strong critical thinking and intellectual maturity to solve complex business and technical challenges. Proven ability to consistently translate requirements into scalable Anaplan solutions that drive business performance.
Take end-to-end ownership of projects and responsibilities, independently driving execution and delivery to meet defined business objectives and deadlines. Lead and manage initiatives of varying scope, from strategic planning through final deployment.
Design, build, and maintain robust, multi-dimensional Anaplan models that ensure accuracy, scalability, and long-term sustainability for core financial processes.
Serve as the primary interface with key finance stakeholders to ensure solution alignment and adoption. Serve as the Anaplan Operations Subject Matter Expert (SME), providing technical/application support and collaborating with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot, optimize models, and resolve complex operational issues.
Maintain strong attention to detail to ensure data accuracy and model integrity. Configure Anaplan lists, modules, dashboards, and actions to meet business needs.
Design, create, refine, and maintain reports, dashboards, and analytics using modern BI tools to deliver clear, actionable insights and enhance data consumption.
Implement best practices for Anaplan development, including model architecture, data integration, and system optimization. Collaborate with other teams to integrate Anaplan with other systems and tools, leveraging expertise in cloud environments like Google Cloud.
Provide training and support to end-users, fostering Anaplan and modern BI tool adoption and proficiency across the organization. Leverage experience with documentation to create scalable, repeatable processes and knowledge transfer materials.
Stay current with Anaplan, modern BI platform updates, and industry trends, proactively identifying opportunities for system enhancements.
Education: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, Computer Science, or related highly analytical field.
Anaplan Expertise: Proven experience (3-5 years preferred) as an Anaplan Model Builder with a strong focus on large-scale Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) implementation and model maintenance.
Certification: Anaplan Certified Model Builder (Level 2 or higher) is mandatory.
Analytical Acumen: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate business requirements into efficient Anaplan models.
Data & Reporting: Experience as a report builder using modern BI platforms (e.g., Looker, Power BI) is a plus.
Technical Stack: Some knowledge of data warehouse environments (e.g., BigQuery), cloud platforms (e.g., Google Cloud), and ETL processes is a major asset.
SQL: Ability to Read (or write) SQL queries. Python or some other scripting language is a plus.
Business Acumen: familiarity with core finance and accounting principles (budgeting, forecasting, consolidation) and finance/accounting processes.
Communication: Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to interact effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
