About the Role:

This role is pivotal for Confluent’s growth aspirations. As Director of Product Marketing for GTM Motions, you will be attached to the most critical revenue initiatives in the company.

You will lead a team of talented Product Marketers who individually own key GTM motions in the company such as migration, expansion within existing customers, building a scalable motion around the Shift Left vision, among others. You will be matching strategic thinking, prioritization and direction setting with tactical guidance for your team and partner teams.

In this role, you’ll partner closely with our Sales teams, Product leaders, and several marketing teams to orchestrate end to end GTM motions across multiple channels.

This is a highly visible, leadership role requiring a unique blend of technical depth, business focused storytelling, and cross-functional leadership. You will inspire both internal and external audiences, driving clarity of vision for our field and marketing teams, and building compelling customer focused messaging.

What You Will Do:

  • Build a deep understanding of our sales motion by analyzing current processes, identifying key stakeholders, and gathering insights on customer journeys.

  • Build GTM plans for prioritized motions, including defining target audiences, messaging, and informing the strategy for content, channels, events, etc.

  • Orchestrate GTM activities across the company by coordinating efforts between product, marketing, sales, enablement and sales acceleration teams to ensure a unified and effective approach.

  • Enable Sales teams with crisp guidance and playbooks that provide clear instructions, best practices, and resources to effectively sell our products.

  • Be the go to person for health of GTM, regularly monitoring performance metrics, identifying areas for improvement, and reporting on progress to leadership.

What You Will Bring:

  • 10+ years in Product Marketing (enterprise, developer, data, or infrastructure products strongly preferred).

  • 3+ years leading PMM teams with a proven ability to coach, develop, and scale high-performing talent.

  • Owner mindset with end to end thinking around all aspects of GTM - messaging, content creation, sales enablement, sales plays orchestration, web content, events, etc.

  • Orientation around revenue outcomes and not just activities. First principles thinking around what truly matters.

  • Track record of supporting sales-led motions in an enterprise software company.

  • Good storytelling skills both for the technical practitioner audience as well as the economic buyers and decision makers.

  • Strong executive presence and communication skills.

  • Demonstrated ability to work cross-functionally with almost daily interlock with multiple teams - Sales, Product, enablement, other teams within marketing.

  • Leading through influence at all levels of the organization.

What Gives You an Edge:

  • Background in streaming, data infrastructure, or AI/ML

  • On-stage or public speaking experience at industry events.

  • Ability to connect highly technical concepts with business outcomes in a clear, engaging way.
