Component and Product Quality Engineer, Interconnects

📋 Description

• Own quality for interconnects: high-speed connectors, cables, backplanes.
• Drive quality-by-design: design reviews, DFx, tolerances, materials.
• Define and track quality metrics: DPPM, yield, escapes, FRACAS trends.
• Build qualification plans for cables/connectors/patch panels: tests, samples, criteria.
• Partner with engineering and operations to drive ramp: risk assessments, readiness.
• Own supplier and CM performance; audits and CAPA to close findings.

🎯 Requirements

• 7+ years in quality engineering for interconnects or high-speed hardware.
• Hands-on with high-speed copper interconnects: connectors and cable assemblies.
• Strong problem solving: 8D, 5-Whys, Fishbone, PFMEA, SPC/MSA, change control.
• Read mechanical drawings, GD&T basics, electrical/interface specs; cross ME/EE/SI.
• Experience driving supplier/CM improvements and CAPA.
• Clear written and verbal communication; cross-functional alignment; travel internationally.
