Communications Specialist - (12-month contract)

📋 Description

• Coordinate and implement campaigns' comms to reach key audiences.
• Work with Senior Communications Strategists and the Communications Director.
• Support media team with day-to-day comms, messaging, and rapid response.
• Draft content: press releases, talking points; align with GPUS branding.
• Aid in media operations, planning, and events coordination.
• Role based in GPUS-authorized location (CA, DC, MD, VA, NY, NJ, CT).

🎯 Requirements

• 2+ years in PR, media, or content with earned media.
• BA/BS in communications or related experience.
• Basic understanding of major social platforms.
• Experience drafting/editing press releases and talking points.
• Knowledge of media relations, crisis comms, public awareness.
• CMS and analytics tools knowledge preferred.
• English fluency; Spanish preferred.
