Commercial Counsel

📋 Description

• Lead negotiation and review of commercial agreements (SaaS, services, procurement, partnerships).
• Conduct vendor and customer negotiations via calls and virtual meetings.
• Advise Sales and Procurement teams with crisp, outcome-focused legal guidance.
• Build AI-enabled workflows, playbooks, and automation for drafting and redlining.
• Improve contracting workflows by automating repeat tasks and capturing knowledge.
• Share insights to improve templates and AI models across LM's global Legal function.

🎯 Requirements

• J.D. from a law school and active bar in at least one U.S. jurisdiction.
• 6+ years in commercial transactions for B2B SaaS, software, or data-driven businesses.
• Drafting, negotiating, and advising on SaaS, vendor, and data-processing agreements.
• Experience partnering with Sales, Procurement, Product, Security, and other stakeholders.
• Familiarity with privacy, AI, and security issues in contracting; risk assessment and escalation.
• Experience with templates, playbooks, workflows, CLM, and AI tools in legal practice.
