Coinbase is seeking an Associate Manager, Client Assets to lead the Client Assets team within International Operations. This remote role is based in Luxembourg and will oversee client asset custody operations, governance, and regulatory compliance, ensuring the highest standards of security and reliability for Coinbase clients.

Responsibilities

Lead and develop a team of professionals responsible for client assets operations and custody.
Oversee daily custody operations, reconciliations, asset tracking, and settlement processes.
Develop, implement, and maintain policies, controls, and risk mitigations to protect client assets.
Collaborate with Compliance, Legal, Risk, Security, Product, and Engineering to drive programs that safeguard client funds and ensure regulatory adherence.
Monitor performance metrics; drive process improvements and operational excellence.
Manage audits, regulatory examinations, and inquiries; prepare documentation and respond to regulators.
Manage vendor relationships and third-party service providers involved in asset custody.
Mentor and develop team members; recruit and hire as needed.

Requirements

5+ years of experience in client assets, asset custody, or related financial services operations; leadership experience preferred.
Strong knowledge of client asset custody, asset protection, and regulatory requirements (AML/KYC; EU regulations).
Proven ability to implement policies, controls, and risk management practices.
Excellent communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills.
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or a related field.
Data-driven with strong analytical skills; proficiency in Excel; SQL is a plus.
Fluency in English; additional languages are a plus.
