Analyst, Tech Controls at Coinbase

Coinbase is seeking an Analyst, Tech Controls to support the Security & Privacy team. This role focuses on the design, implementation, and testing of technology controls across Coinbase's systems to protect data and ensure compliance with internal standards and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

Assist in evaluating and improving technology control design across systems and platforms.
Perform control testing and evidence collection for internal and external audits.
Collaborate with Engineering, Compliance, and Security teams to remediate control gaps.
Document control objectives, controls, tests, and results; maintain audit trails.
Support regulatory and internal audits (SOX, SOC 2, and related programs).
Monitor control effectiveness and coordinate remediation milestones.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a relevant field.
Experience with risk management, compliance, or internal controls.
Familiarity with security and privacy frameworks (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001, SOC 2).
Strong analytical and communication skills; ability to work cross-functionally.
Ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, multi-stakeholder environment.
