Product Designer

We’re looking for a detail-oriented, holistic-thinking Product Designer to elevate the quality of design at Coder. You’ll lead end-to-end design across discovery, ideation, and delivery, partnering closely with product managers and engineers to bring clarity and craft to complex problems.

From conducting research and mapping user journeys to crafting intuitive interfaces, you’ll help shape and mature our design practice as part of a small, growing team. You’ll play a key role in defining how collaboration between humans and AI shapes the future of software development.

What you’ll do here

• Build a deep understanding of developer needs through research and discovery practices

• Partner with product managers and engineers to uncover unmet customer needs and turn insights into impactful product opportunities

• Facilitate collaborative ideation and story-mapping workshops with cross-functional partners (PM + Design + Engineering)

• Create user flows, wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity designs in Figma that balance usability, scalability, and visual craft

• Maintain and evolve Coder’s design system to ensure consistency, accessibility, and continuous UX improvements across the platform

• Define how humans and AI collaborate in developer tooling

What we’re looking for

• 3+ years of end-to-end product design experience in the software industry, with a strong foundation in UX principles

• Insight-driven and seeking to deeply understand customer needs

• Skilled at untangling complex problems and turning them into simple, scalable, user-centered solutions

• Proactive and independent, with strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset

• Curious and growth-minded, with a interest to refining both craft and process

• Excited about AI and eager to apply emerging technologies to enhance design workflows

• Practice running mixed‑methods research (journey mapping, interviews, usability testing) and synthesizing insights

• Experience designing developer tools, IDEs, CLIs, or code‑centric workflows

• A background in maintaining design systems, tokens, and accessibility standards

Interview process 

We believe that the interview process should be transparent, consistent, and enjoyable. We value your time and hope to complete the interview process in two to four weeks, if schedules allow. Through your interviews, you will meet a mix of individual contributors, managers, and leadership.
