Senior Security Researcher — Cobalt
Join Cobalt as a Senior Security Researcher and lead advanced security research initiatives. You will identify, analyze, and simulate exploitable vulnerabilities in complex systems, collaborate with product and security teams, and help shape our security testing strategy.
What you'll do
- Lead and conduct security research across web/mobile/OS environments
- Perform vulnerability discovery, reverse engineering, and exploit validation
- Develop and maintain tooling for research, fuzzing, and data analysis
- Document findings, write security reports, and drive remediation with engineering teams
- Mentor junior researchers and contribute to security processes
What we're looking for
- 5+ years of security research or related experience
- Strong programming in Python, C/C++, or Go
- Experience with Linux and Windows, network protocols, and vulnerability analysis
- Familiarity with malware analysis, reverse engineering, fuzzing, static/dynamic analysis
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in CS, Security, or related field
