Cluster Deployment Engineer

📋 Description

• Own cluster-level deployment strategy for AI compute clusters across sites.
• Set rack interface standards spanning power, network, mechanical, and cooling.
• Drive multi-threaded cluster bring-up across hardware, networking, power, and cooling.
• Partner with internal research, systems, and external partners to define deployment scope.
• Lead external partner execution with developers, OEMs, and construction teams.
• Improve cluster turn-up reliability and repeatability.
• Define and track deployment KPIs: readiness, schedule, scope.
• Coordinate cross-functional readiness across supply chain, security, operations, and construction.
• Provide executive visibility on deployment progress and risks.
• Design cluster interfaces for durability across hardware generations.
• Build cluster layout and BOM tooling to turn topology into actionable BOMs.

🎯 Requirements

• 10+ years in hyperscale datacenter deployment with senior responsibility.
• Delivered AI/HPC/high-density compute clusters at scale; aware of interconnect reach, power, and thermal limits.
• Across IT hardware and facility infra; set durable interface standards.
• Led cross-functional programs with internal teams, external developers, firms, and OEMs.
• Combined systems thinking with execution discipline; bridge topology to interfaces.
• Communicate clearly with technical and executive audiences; translate programs into decisions.
• Thrive in ambiguous, fast-changing environments with evolving hardware and scale.
• Bachelor’s degree in EE, ME, CE, or equivalent.
