We are a pack of dreamers, makers, and tech enthusiasts building the future of payments. With millions of happy customers and a hunger for innovation, we're now expanding our neural network - literally and metaphorically.

As CloudWalk continues to scale its presence in the Brazilian financial ecosystem, strengthening our engagement with regulators, policymakers, and industry associations has become increasingly strategic. Our Government Affairs team already plays an active role in shaping the environment around us — now, we are expanding our presence

directly in Brasília to deepen institutional relationships, enhance regulatory intelligence, and formally represent CloudWalk in the country’s key legislative and supervisory forums.

About the Role:

We are looking for a relationship-driven, highly connected, and strategically minded professional to expand CloudWalk’s institutional presence in Brasília. In this role, you will act as a key ambassador for CloudWalk, leading our legislative and regulatory engagement and strengthening our representation with:

Banco Central do Brasil and other regulatory bodies

Federal Legislative bodies

Industry associations

Public hearings, consultations, working groups, and sectoral committees

This is a highly visible position that requires excellent institutional presence, regulatory sensibility, and strong articulation with both internal teams and external stakeholders.

You will collaborate closely with Compliance, Legal, Risk, Product, Engineering, and Executive Leadership, ensuring CloudWalk has a proactive, informed, and influential voice in policy and regulatory discussions affecting the financial and payments ecosystem.

Key Responsibilities

  • Strengthen and maintain CloudWalk’s institutional footprint in Brasília by representing the company in structured engagements with policymakers, regulators and other public institutions.
  • Build and manage high-trust, issue-based relationships with Banco Central do Brasil, congressional offices, executive-branch agencies and key industry associations.
  • Monitor the political, regulatory and legislative landscape at the federal level (Executive Branch, Congress, autonomous agencies and regulators), with a focus on payments, financial services, innovation, digital economy, and AI.
  • Represent CloudWalk in industry associations, multi-stakeholder working groups, public hearings, regulatory consultations and sector forums — ensuring consistent and aligned positioning.
  • Draft position papers, proposals, and contributions to legislative and regulatory consultations, working closely with Compliance, Risk, Product and Legal teams.
  • Maintain dynamic stakeholder and political/regulatory risk maps (government, regulators, industry associations), systematically monitoring public hearings, bills, consultations and calls for comments.
  • Prepare high-quality briefings, talking points and supporting materials (decks and backgrounders) for interactions with authorities, regulators, lawmakers and other institutional stakeholders
  • Provide internal guidance on regulatory and policy trends, enabling early-stage risk mitigation and strategic decision-making.
  • Translate public policy developments into clear business impacts and opportunities.
  • Support and execute CloudWalk’s advocacy strategy on priority topics (instant payments, open finance, credit, AML/CFT, data protection, AI, and related themes), identifying and leveraging opportunities to influence legislative and regulatory frameworks in favor of innovation, competition and financial inclusion.
  • Contribute to expanding and structuring CloudWalk’s public affairs operations with scalable processes, tools, and institutional protocols.
  • Act as a trusted advisor and point of contact for internal teams requiring policy insights, institutional coordination and stakeholder mapping.
  • Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in public policy, government affairs, regulatory relations, or institutional affairs — ideally within fintech, financial services, technology, or adjacent sectors.
  • Strong understanding of the Brazilian political, regulatory, and financial ecosystem, — including the legislative process and the interplay between the Executive, Legislative and regulatory authorities — and familiarity with the key institutions that shape the payments market.
  • Established relationships or proven ability to build and maintain high-level connections with policymakers, regulators, associations, and public institutions with ethical and institutional approach.
  • Experience representing organizations in public hearings, meetings with regulators, and multi-stakeholder working groups.
  • Ability to analyze regulatory and legislative texts and translate them into actionable business insights.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and public speaking skills.
  • Strategic mindset, paired with a hands-on, autonomous, and collaborative approach.
  • Advanced written and verbal communication skills in Portuguese and English.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Law, Public Policy, Political Science, Economics, International Relations, or a related field (advanced degree is a plus).
