Cloud Solution Architect (Federal)

📋 Description

• Maintain AWS/Azure cloud infra in optimal technical and budget configurations.
• Define and execute migration strategies with technical teams.
• Provide escalation support for AWS/Azure incidents and incident management.
• Guide personnel and Cloud Architects on AWS/Azure architecture and design tenets.
• Recommend tools based on current environment across on-prem, cloud, and hybrid.
• Create and use CloudFormation templates to manage AWS infrastructure.
• Deploy, test and document dev, pre-prod, and prod environments.
• Train and mentor junior administrators and engineers.
• Create VPC resources (subnets, security groups, etc.).
• Backup cloud and on-prem resources, including in a hybrid environment.
• Tag resources to allocate costs and optimize usage.
• Create golden images/AMIs and implement auto scaling.
• Assist in preparing cost analyses based on usage.
• Configure MFA on virtual and hardware devices.
• Maintain availability of critical AWS infra; comply with PVT/PROD environments.
• Improve operational capabilities of UACS infra as directed.
• Maintain availability of production systems deployed into AWS managed area outside project configs.
• Investigate outages, document issues and resolutions, maintain knowledge base.
• Review and enhance OSPs, Runbooks, known issues knowledge bases, log defects.

🎯 Requirements

• Eight (8) years' experience in computer networks and cloud design.
• Four (4) years' hands-on experience with AWS and/or Azure.
• Experience migrating, building, and deploying systems and apps in cloud platforms.
• Bachelor's degree in related discipline or equivalent experience.
• Ability to obtain a T3 Public Trust or higher clearance.
• Certifications: Security+, Cloud+, AWS Certified Solutions Architect or Azure Certified Solutions Architect.
• ITIL v4 certification highly desired.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficient at multi-tasking and able to work independently.
