We are a fast-growing climate tech startup on a mission to drive climate action through data and insight. Our team consists of entrepreneurs, technologists, and scientists who have come from backgrounds such as Google, MIT, and other leading companies and academic institutions. Together, we are building a tech platform that empowers organizations to tackle the climate crisis. Our powerful carbon calculation engine helps software providers embed emission metrics into their solutions to help their customers accurately calculate and continuously monitor their carbon footprint and drive better decisions.

Our platform is used by tens of thousands of sustainability leaders worldwide, and we are proud to be backed by renowned international VCs and investors in the climate-tech and software sector. We are also a certified B Corp, highlighting our commitment to balancing purpose and profit. As a remote-first company, our team is spread out across Berlin and other parts of Europe, with a strong focus on collaboration and innovation.

This is an exciting time to join Climatiq. Be part of a real, technology-driven endeavor from the beginning. Work with an amazing team and help build something meaningful together with our community.

About the role

Climatiq is looking for a Solutions Consultant to enable our rapidly expanding portfolio of customers. In this role, you’ll act as a technical expert, problem-solver, and strategic enabler to ensure successful adoption and integration of Climatiq’s carbon intelligence API by our new and existing users.

You’ll work closely with our Sales, Partnerships and Product teams to provide scalable technical guidance, lead product discovery sessions, and drive seamless integrations of our API for our customers. This is an exciting opportunity to be at the intersection of technology, sustainability, and business impact.

What you'll do

  • Become a strong expert and advocate for Climatiq’s offering and deeply understand how it can enable software vendors and consultancies to build their own carbon solutions and corporates to accelerate their corporate carbon footprinting exercises

  • Lead technical conversations and provide expert guidance to prospects and customers on integrating carbon metrics, communicating methodologies, and implementing best practices to help them succeed throughout their whole Climatiq journey

  • Run tailored demos and business cases, advise on product concepts and best practices in order to win new customers and pilot projects and communicate the value opportunity and strategic roadmap to the prospect’s teams

  • Collaborate closely with our Sales team during pre-sales and post-sales engagements to offer prospects and customers a consistent experience when working with Climatiq

  • Develop a deep understanding of our users’ use cases, workflows, and goals to provide tailored recommendations and maximize value

  • Act as the voice of the customer, collaborating with the Product team to enhance the product experience and prioritize improvements based on feedback

  • Create and refine onboarding materials and processes to streamline operations and gain more efficiency

What we're looking for

  • 2+ years of experience in a customer-facing, technical role, ideally also as a Consultant or Solution Engineer

  • Tech-savvy with a natural ability to understand and navigate technical concepts, tools, and systems, ideally with a solid understanding of APIs, data integrations, and cloud technologies and experience working with JSON, REST APIs, and scripting languages (e.g., Python, JavaScript).

  • Good understanding of the GHG Protocol and carbon accounting practices is a bonus, but can also be picked up on the job

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English, with the ability to convey complex topics clearly and effectively

  • Strong interpersonal skills: you can empathize, build trust, influence stakeholders, and guide partners confidently

  • Proactive and self-driven, with the ability to thrive in fast-paced startup environments

  • Exceptional level of attention to detail and structured work

Additional Information

  • Location: Berlin or Remote within +/- 2 hours of CET timezone

  • Starting date: As soon as possible

  • Hours: Full-time, flexible working hours

  • Compensation: Competitive salary and benefits, including employee stock options, learning and development stipend, regular team offsites, and more

As a certified B Corp, Climatiq is an equal-opportunity employer and we welcome and encourage candidates from all backgrounds and experiences to apply for roles on our team.
