We’re educating Americans about our climate progress, highlighting how clean energy investments benefit local communities, and holding Big Oil accountable for polluting our air and water. We use data-backed messages to pave a path for bold action and shine a light on the cost of ignoring the climate crisis on our health, economy, and future generations.
Climate Power has an immediate opening for a Deputy Managing Director for the States department to help lead Climate Power’s work in target states and House districts. The Deputy Managing Director will work with the Managing Director to develop and execute a strategic communications and earned media plan to drive a narrative around the importance of climate and clean energy investments, highlight the benefits of climate action in key communities to help hold opponents accountable, and block efforts to dismantle climate progress. This role will manage staff, relationships with other departments, and strategic communications programs and projects.

Location & Hours of Operations: Climate Power is a remote-first organization based in Washington, DC. This position can be located anywhere in the United States, but must be able to work Monday - Friday 9 am - 6 pm EST, plus weekends and evenings as the work dictates.

Our interview process generally involves 2 rounds of interviews, ranging in length from 30-60 minutes. All interviews will be conducted via Google Meets or Zoom.
